Brass Fold Formed Earrings

These earrings are hand made from Jeweler's Brass.
The metal was cut, folded, annealed and forged.
Holes were then drilled for an added design element.
To complete these earrings, the metal was domed into a curve giving a more polished look.

I like how the repeated annealing brought the copper in the metal to the surface, giving it a nice contrast when the folds. After adding a rich patina and polishing, the brass once again pops on the folds and rises.

Finished off with hand made Sterling Silver Earwires
All my earwires are smooth on the ends so they won't hurt your ears going in.

A 2" disc has been folded, annealed and folded again to create the pattern on the copper.

The edges have been hammered creating beautiful texture on the edges.

Brass eyelets were riveted into the piece and

a beautiful lampwork bead, wrapped in brass wire acts as the bail.

The chain is approximately 20" long.
