Jewelry Resources
It's the copper in metal that causes it to oxidize and tarnish. I apply a liver of sulfur finish to my wire and metal designs to speed up the process for a rich antiqued look. The pieces are then buffed, tumbled and/or polished so the darkened areas stay in the little cracks and crevices of the piece and the raised areas are lightened, thus giving an old world feel.
Cleaning
You can help slow down the oxidation & tarnishing by storing metal jewelry in an airtight plastic bag. Every purchase includes a pro polish cloth which is used to remove oxidation and give a shine to your wire and metal art jewelry.
